Parents are allowed to
watch practices as well games and lend the players full support in positive
manner.-
Do not point out
mistakes, leave that up to the coach, but dwell on their accomplishments as
well their efforts.

Avoid material rewards.
Build an attitude of hard work and perseverance.

Be a good listener. Make
them feel important and let them know that they are contributing to a team
effort.

Be positive. Never
criticize or negative towards any player of the team.

Be interested but not
overbearing about your child participation.

Don't put pressure on
your child; help to keep your child’s focus on team participation.

Avoid overreacting to
wins or losses.

Avoid overreacting to
'you are going to start, or my child is not playing'. -
Provide positive attitude
towards the referee.

Disagreements with coach or any member of coaching staff or
officials do not belong on the public soccer field. Questions, input, and
positive suggestions should be voiced to the manager.

Avoid coaching your child from sidelines at games or at practices. Stick
to words of encouragement'.

Please don't send your child to practice with a message for coach saying:
'my dad says that I should do it this way'.

Let your child be a young man, and be
responsible for his own actions in regards to the team code of conduct,
leave that up to the coach.

Accept the coaching decision in regards to playing time or disciplinary
action towards your child.

Remember the coach's role is to provide coaching in soccer.

Work, desire, attitude, discipline and team player is the key for any
success in soccer.

Remember just because you pay the
registration fees, it does not mean the player have playing time. Teach them
values of Hard Work.

Failure to meet these guidelines will result in disciplinary action.

AAC of Toronto will not tolerate any behaviour that is
considered detrimental to one or more children playing soccer for
club. It is important to remember that the program is Recreational
and primarily for fun and enjoyment.

Please be tolerant towards the Referee’s decisions. Parents have no
right to ask referees any questions or explanation of any decisions.

Avoid coaching your child from the sidelines at games or at
practices “Stick to words of encouragement. “
