Born on September 18, 1986 in the
city of Baghdad, Iraq. A Canadian Citezen in the city of Hamilton, Ontario
was inspired by a local Canadian and Assyrian Boxing Champion, Zaya Younan.
He started boxing at the age of 12, and quickly with the help of Zaya Younan's
training and inspiration was a Canadian junior champion twice. The first was in
February 2004 in Quebec which was a great confirmation to all the hard work and
dedication he has been putting for a while. The second was in the following year
in the city of Brantford, Ontario.
After winning a gold medal in November 2005 at the Ontario Championships he
entered the senior circuit in the following January of 2006.
In January, 2006 he entered the
Canadian Championships in St. Catherines, Ontario in the 54 kg weight class. He
competed against the 4 time Canadian Champion and defeated him to become the new
Canadian Champion.
