Born in Tehran, Iran to Robert and Nini Koochoie
and stands at only 6' 2", Benny climbed the ladder in his basketball career
like any other player as he started in school, high school and college
before moving to the professional arenas.
He comes from a family that known sports all along
as his brother Bronil is a rising star in soccer and his mother who was a
member of the Iranian ladies National Volleyball team before immigrating to
the USA and settling in Turlock.
