During the preliminary stage, each team will meet their group opponents once, with three points for a win and one for a draw. The top two teams of each group will advance to the Quarter-Finals, the knockout phase of the competition, with the winners advancing to the Semi-Finals.

Tie breakers
If teams finish level on points, then the tie will be broken as follows:
 (1) Head to head competition
(2) Goal difference in overall competition;
(3) Highest goals scored in overall competition;
(4) Least goals scored against in overall competition
(5) Five Penalty Shootout. If still tied, alternate Penalty Shootouts
